Hi Leng,

I will make a point of taking some pictures for you next year. Right now the birds are elongated and in breeding condition so they are not exactly showing me their best any more.
I am glad we only breed once a year, I had forgotten about all the work entailed in getting to breeding time.
Looking forward to seeing your show team.

 Hi Shawn,

I would be happy if you add a link to my border site.  I am looking forward to seeing some pictures of your birds. At the moment my birds are in a full moult.  Feathers are everywhere and it is dusty in the birdroom.  The moult is my least favourite time of the year because I have to vacuum the birdroom floor everyday.  The fun part is after the moult when I get to choose the birds to bring to the show.

Hi Leng,

Thanks for your kind words and encouragement.

I will with your permission also love to add your site to ours as a link. I love looking at your borders. I keep a few varieties, including colours, fifes and parisian frills but the Border remains always my first love. My line is all off Phil Warne. A good friend of mine imported from Phil a couple of times and I was lucky enough to get some stock from him. Hopefully as the site grows I would be able to post a couple of pictures of the youngsters that I hope to breed around September when Spring finally arrives in SA.

Keep in contact please,

Hi Shawn,

You have a nice looking site Shawn. It's great when clubs keep their website up to date. Some clubs here (Canada) are still in the dark ages. They don't seem to have any presence on the internet.. New hobbyists have no idea that they exist and the club wonders why they don't have new members. Anyway, good for you for creating a website for your club. I've added a link to your site.

As for the borders that I have, I started with 3 hens and 1 cock bird from Paul Dee who lives in the U.S, and a pair from Vince Turco who lives about a 5 hours drive from me. The background of these borders are a mix of lines that came from Phil Warne, Malcolm Barnett, Brian Chandler, Francoise Steegmans, and a couple of other European breeders.

Hi,
Can you pls. forward me details on the coming annual show of the Canadian Avicultural Society? Where exactly will it take place, show times, schedule of presenters/stands (who's showing what), entrance fee to amateurs/public?
Thanks in advance for prompt response!

 Hi Shawn,

Thanks!  Glad you enjoy the site.

Hi Leng,

Your site is wonderful - I love the quality of the pictures and video's - the fact that the birds are beauts enhances it! I will definately be keeping an eye on your site going forward.

Hi James,

Thanks. I definitely won't skip treating the birds next year. I had a look at your border facebook. It's great that fanciers around the world can share in the same interest.

Hi leng

great website, you should join the border canary facebook group to meet more border breeders from around the world

anyway reason for my guestbook entry, if you have mite, you should use frontline spray on your birds just before the breeding season and you will find a hassle free breeding season

Hi Jörg,

Nice to hear from you and thanks for the link. Borders are a challenge to breed and the fanciers who have been in the hobby for a long time always tell me to not get frustrated with them.
